Alcohol Base Zircon Refractory Coating

DESCRIPTION: ZIRLITE 509 is an alcohol base, zircon refractory coating. ZIRLITE 509 has been formulated to substantially reduce metal penetration and burnon defects that can be encountered with medium and heavy sectioned iron and steel castings. The coating is supplied in a heavy slurry form. ZIRLITE 509 can be applied by flow coating, brushing, swabbing or spraying.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

ZIRLITE 509 should be mixed thoroughly before use. We recommend the use of an explosion-proof, motor-driven mixer. ZIRLITE 509 is shipped as a heavy slurry produced to approximately 82° - 86° Baume'. If necessary, the Baume' can be reduced by reducing the ZIRLITE 509 with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA 99%). Caution: Solvent is highly flammable.
